From the Sangha River thru the wetlands. |

The wetland water paths became increasingly narrow ..... |
until finally we could go no further. |
And THIS was the culprit. |

Gathering The Troops |
Wagons HO !! |

The strategy here, is to position the nets & then drive the animal toward the site by banging & shouting |

Success !!! One of several "Blue Duikers" we caught that day. |
A "Duiker" is about the size of a small fawn. |

The "Tarzan" version of a water fountain. |

Love those teeth !! |
||||
These gals were a gift of the gods....in helping me get rid of some very nasty pincer ants, which had crawled up under my slacks. Their concern quickly degenerated into hysterical laughter at my having to go a bit "native" and creating a new tribal dance. |

And .... here we are... yet AGAIN ... tramping thru another dark jungle., in search of members of the animal kingdom. |
||||
Every so often, the jungle spit us out into swollen streams .... and we splashed along, doing our best to side-step elephant poo and snakes, on our way to the "bai". |
Forest Elephants ... and the "bai" viewing platform |

Now Kiddies .... We Have To Take Turns At The Waterhole We were all absolutely doubled over ... watching the antics of these 2 young elephants. The one on the right wasn't very gracious about giving up his place ...... so the other one spent about 30 minutes trying a variety of tactics to get the first one to move. It finally came down to these last 3 "moves". |
The old "Side-Nudge" ? No luck. |
"Excuse me ..... MOVE !!" |
" Get The Point Yet ?" |
