It's amazing that not many years ago .... this was just one big stretch of sand.

Now this series of projects can either be a Construction Crew's  version of  "heaven" or  "hell" .... depending on the point of view

This is an Artist's  rendering of the Palms & The World.       I've indicated the individual project names...

and the order of construction priority.     ( The "World" is being worked on simultaneously with all of the Palms.)

This was taken from a revolving restaurant at the top of a hotel.

Dashing up to the peaks of the dunes & balancing precariously on the high ridges ..... before rapidly dropping down into the "valleys"  was great fun !!!

But the Great Wizard has proclaimed that everything comes with a price ... and we got  A  FLAT  !!

I Just LOVE Camels  !!!    They're  so majestic & exotic ... and they just sound ticked off at the entire world.

The Spa area is EXTENSIVE ... with massage rooms - nail salon - hair salons -  large Jacuzzi pools - various exercise rooms ( each with a jacuzzi pool  )

This wasn't a "suite" .... it was like a bloody apartment.        Roy was delighted with the "state of the art"  office equipment.

In fact ... ALL of the electronics were "state of the art".  

Remotes for window tint - shades - security cameras at the door - TV - air - intercom - special phone lines for the butler, floor security, spa & front desk -

& an infinity of light combinations.

Yes .... that TV is surrounded by 24c. gold leaf.

We were told how many tons  ( yes, tons ) of gold leaf were used in this hotel. Don't remember the number ... but it was staggering.

As an "aside" ... you could view who was at the door , on the TV.

See all those little gold circles ? They're part of the complicated light system.

Oh Yeah !!! ... I could be forced to live like this.
