Our Radar  Screen ... showing the ice field surrounding us,  made up of pack ice and icebergs.

The Sunrises  and sunsets in this area are incredible.

You know they'd have to be, for me to get my body out on deck  - in the cold - at that time of the morning.

Artifact Discovery .....  A little something we found,

that has found a new home in a museum.

Yeah Yeah .. I know !!    But getting up close is addictive.

Fantastic Ridges !!  Almost looks like chiffon pleats, doesn't it ?

We found a spot across from the glacier to make a landing.

This little village ... isolated as it is, comes equipped  with all sorts of amenities.

By the time we got back to the ship ... ice floes had moved in and surrounded the ship.

So we tooled around a bit waiting for a break in the ice , so we could board

This is a great visual of what's above & below the water ..... which is why ships don't get too close to icebergs.  It's just too treacherous.

Nice comparative.   These things are  HUGE  !!!

Yee-HAAW  !!  We get to go thru an arch.

Another Arch  !!  WHAT  A  DAY !!         The only problem with arches is ... you never know when they'll collapse.

This one looks as if some ice sculptors have been at work on it.
